a2i organized a workshop on preparation of guidelines for development of smart portals
Aspire to Innovate (a2i) organized a workshop on preparation of portal guidelines to make the websites/portals of ministries/departments more modern and citizen friendly as part of building Smart Bangladesh. This workshop was organized at the BCC Auditorium of ICT Tower in Agargaon in the capital.
Md. Samsul Arefin, secretary of information and communication technology Division, was present as the chief guest in the workshop. Dr. Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir, Project Director (Joint Secretary) of a2i presided over the event. The a2i Joint Project Director (Joint Secretary) Nahid Sultana Mallick and a2i (Joint Secretary) Joint Project Director Md Saiful Islam were present as special guests.
Through this workshop, the final draft was prepared by reviewing the draft portal uniform framework guidelines and collecting the service list. The ministry will work on data coordination, data representation, new content integration and content addition and subtraction to ensure relationship development and job portal data sources such as: portal management system and job portal data identification and solution. In addition, activities related to the supervision, monitoring and development confirmation of the portal of the office under the ministry/department are carried out as well as the overall opinion and the actions are discussed for the upcoming needs.
While speaking as the Chief Guest, Mr. Md. Samsul Arefin, Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Division, emphasized the uniform structure of the portals of all the ministries and said, 'National Information Service has been playing a unique role as a sincere bridge between the government and the citizens.' He directed all officials of the ministry to create a modern and citizen-friendly information system in the light of their experience to ensure easy access of information to the citizens.
The project director of a2i Mr. Dr. Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir said, 'All the citizens of the country are getting all the services and information provided by the government through the National Information Broadcasting. So our aim is to create a smart portal suitable for smart Bangladesh.
Besides, National Portal Implementation Specialist Mohammad Shamsuzzaman (Deputy Secretary) said, 'Before this workshop, we worked with 650,000 keywords through search engine optimization, people's comments were taken using People's Participation Tool and information was collected through Google Form. The final guidelines of the ministry will be prepared through this workshop to make the information and digital services needed by the public more accessible. The workshop was attended among others by senior officers of all Ministries/Departments and officers charged with administrative and technical management.
